I Ordered Very Silly Matching Christmas Pajamas - FOR US!!

For years and years, we have given our girls Christmas Pajamas on Christmas eve. I remembered getting pajamas from a favorite aunt and uncle, and they would come over Christmas eve to deliver them.  We weren’t allowed to wear them that night, which felt unfair, but that was the rules!  

So, Kevin and I decided to carry on the tradition in a slightly different manner. I would choose cute Christmas pajamas for the kids to open on Christmas Eve and then they were able wear to bed in anticipation of Santa’s visit!  They loved it!  So did we!  One year I bought Kevin Chritams pajamas as well, but he didn’t seem as enamored by the idea, and wore them the one time only.  But as for the kids, it has become such a tradition, now I even get their partners Christmas Pajamas.  And every time I try to say, “ok you guys - don’t you think you’ve outgrown the whole Christmas Pajama thing?” I am met with moans and groans, with them saying how much they look forward to it.  And this year, when I said to Kevin, “I think I can just let the Christmas Pajama thing go this year for sure!”, HE was the one to say “Oh no!  Don’t do that!”

So this year I have an idea. I already have the kids PJ’s, but I have just ordered Christmas Pajamas for Kevin and me (well actually, I ordered 2 different pairs each).  Matching Pajamas!  Silly, cute, matching Christmas pajamas that we will faithfully wear, each pair,  every other Christmas.  

I think it will be fun for us to all be lounging in our pajamas, late Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, having our family brunch with champagne and orange juice and some kind of yummy Christms food.  

We might have to do a little try on session earlier that Christmas Eve in order to include a photo for our readers, but this is the beginning of a new tradition - one that brings a lightheartedness and togetherness to all of us!!  Well that’s the plan anyway!  Stay tuned!
